Really subpar. Very disappointed in the lack of quality. I guess the best part is that it starts at $12.49 for adult all you can eat but that's about where it ends. Food is dry and bland, ice cream is melted or not even working. Staff is pretty apathetic towards the needs of guests. Not to mention the lack of soap in the men's bathroom, which is gross and unacceptable. I would not recommend this "buffet", where the food choices are slim to none, and I would never come back. Management doesn't seem to care how bad the quality is either.

My first visit here when we were on our way back home from a roadtrip with girlfriends. It was their choice, and I went with the flow. A variety of foods which should please everyone. It was decent. I've had better at buffets. I can't really say anything else. It's a buffet. In a touristy area.

The worst buffet ever! Stay away from this place. The food was so terrible that we could not eat it. We walked out on our first bite. Felt like the food was cooked in the microwave. Please save your $30 in a worthy place because this place isn't it.

A whole group of us went here and the staff was very kind. We called ahead of time and said that we do not eat certain foods and the owner gladly said she'd make food that we are able to eat. I had a great experience here so I give this 5 stars!

Probably one of the more cleaner and tastier restaurants you'll find in the Dells for cheap. Good variety of food for a cheap price, good service and lots of healthy choices. I wish I had found this place sooner. The buffet has just the right amount of choices from Ribs, chicken, meat and salad bar. We ordered additional Steaks and Burgers for our meals, we really enjoyed it. The price was very cheap compared to other locations. We paid 11.99 on Sunday and then the addition charges for the steaks anywhere from 1.99 to 5.99. The meat cuts were HUGE from 8 to 10 oz, depending on what you got. Bathrooms are cleans and the restaurant was clean too. We will be back to this location.

I love food.... All kinds. Cheap to expensive. I have been here twice and both times I regretted it. Buffet is small and I did not experience good food either time I went. Not clean either.

Not good. There is nothing on buffet. You are forced to add on something to the meal for additional cost. Other buffets do not require this. Will not be back. Even ice tea was bad.

Yeah! It was as you expect..Ponderosa. Don't expect great cuts of meat, high quality service, at bargain basement prices. It had okay steaks, regular salad bar, and service was actually attentive. In summary, ok food, ok prices, ok service.

The chicken wings were delicious. They had a KFC type seasoning to them. The service was excellent. It was a lot better than a lot of casual sit down restaurants. Overall, it was good food, decent price and great services.

Food was not very good at all! Even my daughter (6) said the food was disgusting. She always likes mashed potatoes. They were also out of 4 out of about 7 of the drinks they offer! Who runs this this place????

This is the place we regretfully stopped at for dinner on our way home from North Dakota. It has been years and years since Lara and I have visited a Ponderosa. We both had such great memories of going there when we were younger. It is difficult to even find a Ponderosa in Chicago. Since we really couldn't make up our minds where we wanted to go we decided to see how Ponderosa has progressed over the years. What we actually learned is how far they have regressed over the years. I love steak. I can even enjoy a not so great cut of meat too. I just like a bloody steak. I ordered the rare sirloin and shrimp. the shrimp was tasty but my steak was awful. I knew from the minute that i cut into it that something was not quite right. It did not have the right "feel" to it. The interior was a very odd shade of grey! WTF??? It did not taste bad because it had absolutely NO flavor at all. Nothing! Zip! Zilch! Nada! the only thing that even gave it a little bit of flavor was the steak sauce. i am still wondering if that slice on my plate actually even came from a living animal. Lara ordered a burger and when it arrived, she asked for ketchup and mustard. She brought the ketchup right away but she said that she would have to go find some mustard. When Lara was done with her burger, the waitress comes back and said that she could not find any mustard but asked her if she wanted BBQ sauce. Lara responded "no thanks" as she viewed her empty plate wondering what she could possibly do with BBQ sauce at this point in her meal. Just to add some extra nails in the coffin for this place, let me tell you a nasty little story. There was this guy clearing a table relatively close to us. As he was cleaning up the table, he proceeded to take a piece of chicken (I think it was a nugget from the buffet) off of the dirty plate and pop it in his mouth. NASTY! Please avoid this place at all costs. I beg you. .
